I am
retired from the U.S. Navy after serving 21 years on active duty. My
friend Ron (present club president) got me involved with flying RC over
20 years ago but I chickened out when he was trying to teach me then.
Approximately 3-4 years ago with the help of flight simulators and
buddy boxes I came back to the hobby but this time with full of gusto.
My two sons, Mark in Georgia and Luie at NAS, Lemoore, both fully
qualified RC pilots; helped Ron to get me started. I now own 10
airplanes (nitro and electrics) of various sizes. Talk about rabbits
multiplying. I am truly proud of being a member of the historic Muroc
Model Masters. As a member of the governing body, I hope to keep this
club doing great things for our hobby and our community. |
